    Bees on one side of hive

    One of the hives very busy, have left alone, the other a lot quieter had a quick look under crown board, all the bees are at one end of hive. I don't want to disturb them, any idea, there is plenty of fondant left, they have hardly touched it?

    Mould on Comb

    Have just cleaned out hive which didnt make it( Virgin Queen ) never returned. Have noticed some blue mould on parts of the drawn comb. What is the best thing to do, leave it for bees to sort out in the spring ????? cut the offending pieces out ??????

    Syrup bottle feeder

    A/S Done But

    A/S done yesterday all looking fine, but I made a long hive( darlington style ) there are a number of bees in there. Are they scouts looking for a new home. There is only foundation in there a swarm lure and Some syrup just in case??? Any ideas?????????????????????:sos:

    Move Bees

    We are contemplating building an indoor apiary, could we transfer a colony from outside approx. 1 metre away to an indoor hive. Would they be confused, if we did it in the winter would that work?????. There were so many colonies lost last year to the weather.??????????????

    hyperthetical question

    If we had a hot long summer!!!!!!!!!! Took one frame brood with workers and a frame of honey syrup fondant etc introduced a new Queen would it work or would it be insufficient to survive come the winter, or wouldn't it survive at all????????
