Have managed to make photos (file ) smaller.
 
Looks like the manufacturer used the same mould as a Bivo box but with less dense foam. Interesting.
 
looks great. if I were doing it I would only bother to put in 1 frame as hopefully the new colony will only be in there a short while and I would use an old used brood frame with the comb still in it.
 
Got the box from Swansea Market, the entrance can go anywhere thats no prob. I agree with the frames only one or two but it could be used as a temp NUC as well.
 
I looked at one of these, but for all the faf, plastic lining etc, might as well buy a polynuc from p*ynes
 
Jeff, thanks for posting .I had been trying to think of a way of useing these poly veg boxes but it was all to tight had not thought of lugs out of the box.

As there is no bee space around the frames the bees will stick the frames to the side walls in no time.
 
Yes I agree but it is only a bait box and a temp nuc for free.
 
Got to be worth sticking up in a tree somewhere!
