I too have nasty reactions that has developed from no reaction to epipen carrying over the last three years. I think it has made me a better beekeeper though, I take my time to ensure I'm gentle with the bees and consider everything I do to make sure I am disturbing them as little as possible...

I was hoping to move the home bees to the out apiary today, but it's warm and the bees are out flying in good numbers so will have to wait for it to go cold again.

For those that have already purchased, is the two layer version still sting proof or is that only the three layer version? I would prefer to go for the two layer version (cost) and only wear shorts and t-shirt but I do need to avoid stings as I'm allergic. Cheers, Ed.

On the flip side of this, you can offset your losses against other earnings. Not a bad tax avoidance for a low income sole trader who also keeps bees. Although on sales of £1000 I think you would have a hard time convincing the tax man that it is a commercial venture rather than a hobby.
