    Breakfast Honey

This is also the base requirement in Ceredigion, As the buyer will be able to come to the house or point you out on the market stall. Local authorities talk to Bee Group. they will encourage you to register but not legal requirement. See honey as very low risk.

    frame direction

When solid floors were the norm people often moved frames between warm way (across) and cold Way (front to back) the frame position doesn't make much difference now due to mesh floor. Personally I used both systems and it comes down to which is best for my back. Colin

What brood farm to put in?

Personally I would go for a frame of sealed brood . They cannot make new queen from it and the emerging bees will be nurse bees to help raise you new queens brood.

    Caught Swarm..... Advice Please

If you have or can get hold of a frame of open brood insert use it. That will hold the bees for you and then remove once capped and Queen is laying. This will remove any varroa.

give them a frame of brood from your original hive this tends to keep them where you want them and as others have said give frames of foundation so they can empty honey stomach wax building.

    First inspection

You also have the option of whilst carrying out your reactive swarm control to split the colony one QC in each part and increase your number of colonies this then will give you a better understanding of how well each colony is doing via comparison. Your mentor should be able to take you through...

    Weak Colonies

this time of year its all about making sure you at least get the queen through. you can then add bees once the stronger colonies increase sufficiently ensuring all is healthy.
