Fusion, if you want 450 lbs honey in 2 months from your hive, how do you arrange things to get it?
I pack my bags and load up my truck and move to South Dakota where it is possible to make huge crops of honey. I can make good crops of honey here, but not 450 pounds good. The best I've ever had was in the 150 to 200 pound range.

That what I do too, is to move to pastures.

Last summer I put some hives onto limitless pastures. I wanted to see what they do then.
I saw, that they cannot carry more nectar to home than they can. IT is something 3-5 kg honey per day. Hives were about 2 metre high. Most important is the hive has room to store new nectar what bees are able to care home.
