I was in Bridgenorth yesterday and went to see how the castle bees were doing. I could see 5 entrances that looked quite busy along with a nice big chunk of wild comb also very busy. Thought I'd share if anyone finds themselves visiting the town.

It won't be too hospitable in winter unfortunately - probably a swarm that couldn't make its mind up on a permanent home and before too long had built a load of free comb ... the likelihood is that the colony will die out over winter unless they have a cavity behind that alcove that they can occupy as well. You sometimes find colonies that seem to defy the common sense that they usually exhibit.
