Large scale beekeeping operation pre heat there supers in a heated room. At what temperature would the supers be heated and the room kept at.

You will need it to be around 38c. Any hotter and you will risk the frames collapsing when they are in the extractor.

Thanks for your help. I've just purchased a super warmer, but it came without any instructions. I've used it to melt some crystallised rape, set at 50c and it worked well but that would to hot for normal use.

Just done a net and forum search and seemingly 21c-27c is ideal, at 32c wax becomes soft and likely to blow out in extractor. Your comments please.

don't know about blowing out, mine collapsed at 40 degrees C with the weight of solid OSR!

and I have a large cab, which stacks 8 supers inside, and it was the top super which collapsed into the others which all fell down!!!

and this was due to fan failure!

it was a bloody mess on the floor covering fans and electrics and heater!

So I am now more cautious, with temp, and slowly increase... before max!
