Started a split using the snelgrove board on the 5th June. Following instructions for doors etc there was a Queen cell on the 17th June.
On the 26th the cell is open but no sign of Queen. Bees seem quite docile.
How long should it take before I start seeing eggs or start worrying.
 
So dependant on weather. Panic after six weeks!
 
A suggestion is to add a "test" frame of eggs/ v young larvae from another hive after around 3 weeks. If they don't draw queen cells she is probably there, if they do she probably isn't and this way you are also suppressing laying workers. It's a win win win scenario.
