A microscopy check of of a sample 30 bees from my hive this pm shows they've got Nosema.

They are the healthiest looking colony I've ever had - no signs of weakness and there's brood across 8 frames.

I'm inclined not to treat them.....any comments?

If they are as strong as that now, i would leave them, but feed with thymolated syrup in autumn Richard,or nozevit, fumidil ect if you prefer.

Hi Richardbees
I think nosema is present in lots of colonies which you wouldn't suspect unless you took a sample for microscopy. I certainly have it in my apiary but my bees are strong, with no outward signs of problems. ( I found out on a microscopy course last year.) Thymolated syrup in Autumn is good advice.
Not worth worrying about.

Thanks for the above comments, I'll add fumidil b to winter feed....

1988 was my first year, should I remember collecting 30 bees to test for Nosema then?
