Hi,
When you want to get a frame out of the hive I have heard it suggested that you move the frames to the edge of the hive gradually.
So when it gets to the edge they will fill if with pollen. Isn't it a problem taking their pollen stores?

Thx

It depends on the time of year I should think. Now in a time of plenty and with good weather it shouldn't be a problem. You could always freeze it to use later.
I did two Bailey comb changes this year and one colony would not accept the top entrance so I left the bottom one. Needless to say the bottom box, on removal, had half the frames filled with pollen. I did keep some thinking I might do some frame juggling at next inspection but they honestly don't need it.
