Birds do carry seed and deposit them with a natural coating of fertiliser..

Ragwort has just started here with rosebay to follow and plenty of balsam, if the weather holds up.

Saw quite a few bramble buds on the point of opening last weekend - just noticed on the road outside now, the flowers are open! wondering why they were so busy today even though the weather has been mediocre

Watched bumble bees today trying to force entry into not yet opened bramble flowers !
Cotoneasters still being worked by wasps and bumblies but no honeybees must be working something more profitable
