Food Programme covers "Bees and the City - the Urban Bee story"

on iplayer now for the next year:

Being the BBC they have to justify the travel expenses, so we get most on Manhattan and Copenhagen. There's a short piece from South London and an ecologist from Bristol - without the intro being that clear that she's talking about pollinators in general rather than the honey bees which the rest of the programme is about. And the "honey beer" item is, of course taking honey from heather or other UK sources so not obviously urban at all. It's somewhat "hey wow" looking for the novelty, not about the established majority of beekeepers in and around cities, but at least not that much content to object to.
