Anyone near to La Rochelle, France??

I'm of to France for 10 days tomorrow (Friday). Arriving Saturday. Is there anyone close by I could maybe visit and talk bees next week?

forget the bees... go to island over the bridge and hire a bike!!

I think I'm about the nearest and I'm nearly two hours away, take the advice and enjoy the migration that is under way either from the island or the bay.Normally a good opportunity at this time of year to see Osprey and Black storks with plenty of other good species hanging around and passing through.

Ha ha. Thanks for the replies, will do something similar. Sat in a garden atm watching the bees taking in the flowering ivy. They're very noisy as well. Loads of bumbles as well. I am currently about 20 miles south of Niort.
