Lots of things really. In no particular order; having all my colonies come through the winter; seeing colony build-up; observing an active entrance on a warm evening; carrying out an inspection and bees remaining calm and compliant; seeing the queen active on the comb; collecting and hiving a nice swarm like the one below; honey on toast; giving jars of honey to family and friends...and all the other little joys that happen in the moment when I'm in beekeeping mode:

The sound and smell of a humming hive in the evening having taken in loads of nectar during the day!
