Lost 2 out of 4 hives and one of the survivors is supersceding the queen so not a good winter for me:cuss:

Mind you, with the year I've had and the lack of autumn feeding etc, it could easily have been worse:seeya:

Yip, not good at all but with what was happening to us through the autumn/winter I'm suprised I didn't lose the lot.

Never mind though, I'll pick myself back up and carry on as always. The supersceding queen has hatched out but still not mated. I've ordered an imported queen in case I need one and also another nuc. I'm planning on doing a demarree when needed and from there starting another 2 nucs so hopefully I'll end this year with at least 5 colonies. Fingers crossed:rolleyes:
