It'd be interesting to watch the tone of the news reports change if someone explained that they were not nasty stinging wasps, but actually poor threatened endangered bees ...

OMG!
It's probably my cousin Lilian's bees - she doesn't live too far from there and we have been busy the last week with the Royal Welsh and all that.
(BTW locally, all the reports have been bees not wasps although I'd been told it was more up my way) got called up to a swarm landing in a chimney friday evening - so much for the swarming season's over
