Two nucs, full of bees for sale.

They are housed in 6 frame, 14 x 12 poly nucs. They are from 3 frame A/S made in April. Both of them headed by queens that were mated this year and marked green. They have not been clipped.

Mother queen produces bees that are quiet on the comb, hard working, prolific, exceptionally good temper and seem to deal well with varroa (low count all last year). Her daughters seem to be following suit. They are dark, welsh-adapted bees with mongrel vigour!

NBU inspected in April.

Sited near Ammanford (Wales).

£140 per nuc including frames and nuc box.

Buyer collects. Will not ship.

Just checked them over.

First one has completely filled the nuc with brood and nectar. (Virtually 50:50)
The other is similar, but the outer faces of the outer combs are not yet drawn.

I will have to upgrade them to hives in the coming week.

In addition to the remaining nuc, I have two swarms

1) Captured 9 days ago prime swarm - was laying immediately covered 2 14x12 frames on collection and drawing well and storing nectar.

2) Captured 2 days ago not yet determined if prime or cast. Covered 2 14x12 frames AND filled the feeder of a P****s poly nuc.

Swarms priced at £50 for frames and bees + £40 for the nuc. The £40 for the nuc is refundable on return in reasonable condition.
