Strange chewing gum like pollen in hind legs.

Good evening.

Our bees are returning late evening with stringy white / cream coloured pollen hanging down from their hind legs, looks like chewing gum. Any ideas as to what it may be?

May well be pollen from evening primrose
 
I remember being lectured about pollen grains being loosely held together by a thread and that honey bees can get entangled in it. Evening Primrose appears to be one of those plants.
 
Expanding foam - they've been down to B&Q after hearing how my Brother in law used it to fix everything and thought they'd give it a go!
