Plant identification;

I am currently in the southern Peloponnese. A plant in my parents garden is being feasted on by bee's in the 27c heat. :sunning:

Initially i thought it was a Plumbago, however upon googling i am way off. :rolleyes:

Someone astound me with their botanical knowledge of southern Mediterranean fauna.

Hej Helen, I think you could be right. However, the flowers are five petals per bud. The two petals with the purple lines appear smaller than the remaining petals. Would you say that is similar with duranta plumieri?

Not 100% sure, but we think it could be a Goji Berry

How about

Duranta erecta, I think this is the one, lilac flowers and it does have 5 petals

Not the erecta as the leaves on that are slightly jagged.

It looks similar to your first suggestion:duranta plumieri even though the petal size as mentioned is slighlty different. Maybe its a type of Duranta found in Greece.

My mother purchased the plant from a Greek plant nursery/garden centre. The nursery/centre didnt know the variety. :willy_nilly: But that doesn't surprise me in Greece. :willy_nilly:
