Can anyone tell me what plant this is?

When I walked past it, the bush was humming with the amount of bees on it.

I have a white one that has truly vicious thorns. Very dense wooden branches that won't go through the chipper...grows about 3 feet per year if I don't attack it with the loppers

This is the first year I have seen honey bees working a patch in my garden, usually only the bumbles work it, I must make an effort and record the different types there are in my garden.

100% cotoneaster horizontalis, best grown against a wall.

Thanks. I think cotoneaster is spot on, pictures from the internet look just like it, and its a June flowering plant.

I got called to my neighbours once. There were hundreds of bees on her catoneaster. I told here they were not all mine as some where too dark.
