New Bee
I have a hive which I did an AS on a couple of weeks ago. Today I removed the last QC and added it to a mating nuc. From a mating nuc I took a queen which was mated this year and added her to the hive I removed the QC from.
When I added her i sat her in the cage on top of the bars to see how the bees would react, and they seemed to not pay any attention to her at all.
The queen has been laying for a few weeks, and her first brood has started to emerge from the nuc.
Can anyone tell my why the bees may not be reacting to her? Usually when I introduce a new queen they go all over the cage instantly.
