- sadly, no more!
I know it wouldn't do for those of you with lots of hives etc.
But I have just acquired (from a well known, national purveyor of diy equipment) a new 6x4 PLASTIC shed. The way it fits together (my son and I put it up in two hours - and believe me dead diplomats are not noted for their skills as handymen) leaves virtually no gaps for little insects to find their way in. Just two air vents (that the current Lady DD has covered with veil material).
So if the theory works, I now have - for the grand outlay of under £170 - a home for the extractor, brood boxes, supers etc which not only keeps them together, tidy and safe. But it will also make them less prone to investigation by anyone who might wonder whether I had reported entirely fully on any recent new acquisitions of equipment!
And if I am very lucky, there will just be room for a chair and a bottle of sherry, too!
