I am a painter & decorator by trade and i use light weight sheets to cover windows and two bamboo canes a few inches longer than the window (top to bottom), cover the window with the sheet and push the canes into the top and bottom corners, with the cane longer and a bend in it it will hold the sheet in place, try to paint on a calm day,
When you have the main walls painted take the sheets down and cut round the window, if the windows are white and have a dirty line between the window and wall, fill this line in with paint and run a damp cloth down it to tidy it up, this way you have a nice clean line.

Hope this helps Darren.

:thanks::thanks:pargyle,

I've just used the tape from your link, IT'S great.

It's "tacky" but stays where it's put. No bleed under the edge. it bends a bit where needed and still does not rip.
:thanks::thanks:

Please folks give it a try, IT does work, and makes life soooo much easier.

It does what the man said on the tin.
