What was the turnout like John ?

What were nucs/full colonies fetching ?

S

Slightly down on the amount of equipment sold but there was quite a large crowd standing behind the fence when the bees were auctioned. Prices I saw were ranging from £100 nucs to £160 hives. It was warm, dry and sunny and the bees were flying well. Could be a late finish for bee buyers waiting for the bees to go to bed. :)
I came away with a child's beesuit for my granddaughter £18. Three framed metal queen excluders at £13. A couple of MAQS strips just in case for the season and some polish tins. There was the usual mix of prices being bid and a bit of auction fever with some items being sold for what I thought exceeded new price. (Maybe I'm just tight)
Next weekend is Nottinghamshire Beekeepers auction at Newark showground. I'm undecided whether to go to that one. We'll see what the weather is like and if there's work needing doing at my apiary.
If I don't make it to Newark theres York and Beverley still to come.
