Well, it looks as if there will be a Moggs honey harvest this year :) As it wil be from more than one apiary, I was wondering whether other beekeepers choose to separate various harvests and bottle it up in discrete apiary batches. I'm not talking about the legal requirement to identify 'Lot Numbers' under certain circumstances but rather the individual preference to separate the output from different apiaries.

Of course, there is an obvious reason to keep mono-floral varieties (heather for example) quite separate but as my apiaries are within a County boundary, it will probably all go into bulk storage prior to a single bottling session.

Just wondering.

well, I try to keep the honey from individual hives separate when extracting / bottling.
