Hi. I have bottled the honey I took from my friends hive on friday and its YELLOW... Didnt look like than in the settling tank, but its yellow. Dare I say like urine.... Tastes very nice... The HONEY, that is. There is no lime around that area. There are meadows of clover. Any guesses what it could be from. Will try to get a photo or two up.
Thanks
Craig.

White clover produces a very light coloured, delicate flavoured honey.

Pale straw rather than yellow I would call it.

When I grab some frames from a hive and extract the honey I try keep it in seperate batches.
Its interesting to see the different colours and tastes even with honey from the same hive taken at different times.

My biggest main honey flow is I think bramble - a mile radius from hives is always teeming with them. And my honey tends to be yellow. However, given the diversity of summer flowering a who knows for sure.

Bramble is generally a bit darker than clover. A light medium for bramble, whereas clover is definitely light.
