There was a meeting of Canterbury Beekeepers last night! (honey tasting) The next meeting is the AGM, not so much fun, but you should join. (It is now around the beginning of the membership year for most associations.)
And maybe Whitstable & Herne Bay as well …
Joining a second Association is really cheap.

join the canterbury crowd! join the BBKA that has the tradition of mentor groups for beginners as well. very helpful and fun!

Thanks for the warm welcome guys :)

I've been to a few Whitstable & Herne Bay BKA meetings and have my application form filled in for the next 12 months membership.

And yes, although my bees got transferred to an entirely new hive at the beginning of summer (shook swarm), we had quite a bit of honey from them this year :)

In which case, with insurances, BBKA capitation and printed magazines taken care of, you can also join Canterbury as a "Friend" for just £6 for the year.
