Evening All,

my extractor is no more!! recommendations please. my old one was 8 frame, did the job, would be good to fit a super at a time, Thanks in advance

I bought an Abelo 20 frame radial for our association. Can fit through a kitchen door - key criteria!

Good value vs Konigin which tend to be wider and a lot heavier but very good quality.

Alternative if tangential and bigger brood frames are to be spun out is Abelo swing cage which takes 8 super frames or 4 brood frames. Same outer dimensions as the radial. I bought one of these too.

Remember, the wider the kit the greater the difficulty in storing and manoeuvring it. My bee buddy and I have a twelve -frame extractor. It has to be dismantled for storage in his garage.
Whatever you get, try and see it and measure it at the widest point, usually the feet, before buying.

I am very happy with my SAF Natura 12 frame electric extractor. It is made in Italy, in stainless steel and takes National and Langstroth frames. Also takes 3 brood frames tangentially. Not sure who the UK agent is now, might be Easibee but not sure as I bought if from a small very friendly company in the Midlands.

Morning,

Thanks, Kitchen door info important point...

Konigin 12 frame
Got mine after a series of disasters with not-so-cheap-after-all equipment.
Semi pro - beautifully made.
With tangent screens as an optional extra ,will do anything you would ever need.

Same here brilliant bit of kit. I have mine in a dedicated honey room but if I had to move it I would have to take a leg off! ( the extractor not me!)

I bought some stainless M6 steel bolts and thumb-wheel nuts so that one leg can be quickly turned inside out - doesn't strip the paint off the door frames anymore.
Used the same type of nut on the honey gate and the one semi-lid too.
