Today when I went to inspect and put in anti Varroa strips into my hives. There were several hives that had done a lot of new construction and there seems to be a goodly amount of new honey ( we harvested about 3 weeks ago).

The surprise I saw in one hive with this new construction was to see on two frames about 15 drone cells.

It seems to me that this is most unusual, does any one have an idea as to what I should do.

I would point out that I am near Grasse in the South of France and here we have a second mini spring in early sept. when it rains and a lot of flowers come out again.

Thank you Michael

I wouldn't worry about the drones, given what you say about your climate.
The bees will chuck them out when they think fit.
Now if you'd seen charged queen cells as well, that might be different!

Not too sure about the wisdom of relying on anti-varroa pyretherin strips though.
Be sure to monitor for varroa levels *after* you finish treatment. You might still have a significant mite population, requiring a different treatment.
