cutting a travel lid for a nuc....and which mesh...

was thinking i could do it at an angle and be able to slot it back in when not used as a travel lid
It would probably leak though.
If it's something like a maisemore or Abelo poly nuc then a sheet of mesh with some wood strips glued/stapled to it would do the job fine.
 
Cut mesh to fit like a lid, over the edge and down the sides.
then if you need to secure use a couple of bungi straps
 
I have a few of the Maisemore ones, they are decent and well built saves the messing about.

Failing that the Apiarist had a decent post offering advice, I've used the mesh from the ebay seller he recommends with a quick wood frame aswell as stapling it directly to the poly when I've been short
