I thought that was where I'd got it from. Sorry, my mistake.

In Ron Brown's Seasonal Guide (which seems a rather cheerful book compared to what else I've read - at least it suggest the bees might actually live for a short while) there is a diagram (p37) which way up foundation goes.

The snag is the wired foundation I have bought clearly is meant to be fixed with the 3 loops at the top - and looking at the sealed packs on one side the pattern is one way up and on the other side it's the other way up.

Does it make any difference?

1992 Dadant and Sons Hive and the honey bee. The full 1600 page edition, not the 600 page edition that all booksellers try and palm you off with!!
