Said a wise man once... Caught this cute little cast swarm on the Ashdown Forest for a friend... sadly, on my return to pick them up this eve, they had gone, hopefully to a nice tree hole!

Vergil's father probably had a small estate which he cultivated, and he is said to have eked out his means by keeping bees.
 
The Georgics are clearly heavily reliant on Varro’s De Re Rustica, but I like to think that V. kept bees himself!
