    As a legacy of beginning with a 9 frame extractor I still have my supers mostly on 9 frames, saves a couple of quid per box in frames too, and shaves a bit off extracting time. There is an old post on here(what an archive!) somewhere where denrosa had done comparative tests and found the bees...

    Bees are electrostaticly charged hairy creatures buzzing about a little above ground level, there'll be a bit of everything in the environment on them besides what they're actually foraging for when they've been out for a bit.

    Its horses for courses, honey will be a miracle cure for some hay fever sufferers and yet have little effect on others. I dont see any value in denying it works for some, so long as its not sold as a snake oil guaranteed cure all.

    Hybrids & defensive/aggressive behaviour

    What latest thinking? My understanding was the greatest threat to their continued existence as a pure bread is hybridization and thats more likely to further occur if there's hybrids already about. Much like bees.
