Just how do you use the search facility properly?

If I try I get thousands of threads and no hope of finding what I'm looking for

You could ask the question on the forum and get lots of answers instead lol.
You have to know what to search for really, as an example if you search for "honey" it will bring up thousands of threads, if you were looking for "soft set honey" it would narrow it down a lot.

Use the "advanced search" function.

Enables even me to narrow a search down..

I often try a google search instead but prefixed by the words 'beekeeping forum'.
Usually brings up what I'm looking for.
