A Bit Cold in Finland Today

There have been a few comments in recent weeks about bees collecting pollen etc and how Spring is approaching. But spare a thought for those in Finland. I heard today temperatures had reached minus 30C recently near Helsinki. Apparently this is exceptionally cold for the time of year even there.

it's a shame we have no forum members from finland. they might be able to give us an insight into local beekeeping methods. i wonder what type of hives they use?
