Whilst feeling ill today i got thinking about varroa and predators.
With a little Google it would seem there is some success with these .
We have about 25 types,I think .but and a big but,if they are starting
To pray on varroa we are not helping as most of the treatments we kill them.
Looking for more info really.noted there has been the odd study but cant find
Results.

I guess you have found this already: http://www.jiventure.info/Varroa_Predators

and

http://www.jiventure.info/Organic_Varroa_Control

But as you say not a lot of research. I suspect if the idea had legs, so to speak, someone would have championed it.

Ibra has written about it but only as "speculation": http://www.ibra.org.uk/articles/20080611_26

There is discussion here on the idea: http://www.beesource.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-225863.html

Consensus seems to be the little critters can do much better wandering around the humus at ground level rather than leaping from bee to bee.

Yes that's what I have read,cheers

But they could be used to help if no good as
Total control.
I did read on the beesource there was dutch trails
Any ideas on the outcome anyone ?

Now,my thinking is that if these are showing up
In hives then varroa is on the menu.

I have one hive that is solid floor. I'm going to
see if these are present .
