New Beek since April 2014 with 1 hive hoping to split in spring for another. I live in N. California where the almonds, walnuts, and most anything grows. Currently looking into how to handle condensation in the hive. No snow but temps get down to 29 degrees and 100 in the summer. Unfortuately, there is no bee club in my town of 100,000

Welcome.

Bees will survive happily in a lot colder than +29F, as long as they have access to enough stored honey.
Condensation on the walls isn't really a problem with an open mesh ("screened") floor. In fact, it can provide a usefully safe winter water source for the bees.
Condensation on the cover ("top"?) board isn't too good as it could drip onto the clustered bees. Insulating above it - so the board is warmer than the walls - prevents the problem.
