I'm not sure what it might be that you don't understand. Seems pretty clear to me.

or green oasis floral
produces lots of info, pictures and suppliers.

Yes you could be right, but I figured with a join date of Dec. 2012 I would give them the benefit of the doubt.

Thymol stock solution problem

I made up a thymol stock solution to Hivemakers recipe a couple of weeks ago and I've been using it in sugar syrup. I went to use it today and it has developed a hard layer on the surface. Should I warm it to dissolve the layer, start again or something else? All help gratefully received.

That is most likely the thymol. Warm and shake and will be fine.

It will taint the honey and make it inedible. (not to mention illegal if you sold it)

a “non-medicinal curative substance” for treating Varroa."

WHich may be true but is irrelevant to the UK.

Non approved treatments are illegal. Home made thymol recipes are not approved. Therefore illegal.


And the document deteriorates thereafter..
