Name the caterpillar!

Done more googling here and maybe a privet hawk moth? Just never seen such a giant caterpillar before!

Plus on an aside never knew deaths head moths were European/Asian as after silence of the lambs thought they were American. Would be completely freaked out to find one of those hanging around!
 
I found one of these during the week. It's an Elephant hawk moth caterpillar. By the way, the hands aren't mine they belong to the internet. Mine are much rougher and dirtier even though I work in IT.

saw one of those yesterday evening on willow herb, they are enormous and have fake eyes.
