Not sure I've ever seen my bees out flying like this in December!
This was a late swarm housed in an old WBC, so no remarks about the state of the hive please!

The temperature reading at the local train station was 11C as I was walking towards it at 07:25 yesterday morning.... I thought my bees would be out for a little constitutional aerobatics during the early afternoon and my father later confirmed that they had been flying in large numbers. Bees are quick to use an opportunity to fly on a mild day at this time of the year.

My bees were out of bed before I was this morning..

Today's pee and poo run would have to coincide with my wife putting the washing out !

Who's a popular man then. Since I am the beek, I don't complain about the washing, but my husband complains about the car. Luckily, two of the hives making a mess today were nowhere near either!
