    depleted bees ?

    help - problem with two colonies: these I split from one colony beginning of summer they seemed to be doing well but now something odd as happened.... last few weeks the bees have been very slow in drawing out in the brood boxes and seem to be depleting I noticed first cappings with holes...

    no bees in my super

    hi folks -my one hive has honey in the supers but the second hive although ive tried to attract the girls up to the super with sugar water theyve refused- i would like to know would it be o.k to take two frames of honey out of first hive and put in second hive or will this cause cross infection...

    examining drawn brood frames

    first time inspecting brood box couple a days after delivery...... frames looked very thickly drawn and full of stored honey on the outer frames as i examined toward the centre they started to thin out with less store and more brood -is it normal for these outer frames to be so thickly drawn...
