    I wouldn't be boiling the water to heat the honey bucket , but heat water to the required temp.

    How long would it take for honey to ferment

    Hello folks, Was wondering if anyone has had the misfortune to have some honey ferment, and if so, how long did it take from extraction. I have a small batch of honey that is 21 %, it seems fine to eat right now. It has set due to it being mostly oil seed rape. And yes, lesson has been learned...

    how can we be sure? Just a thought that occured to me. when we put on our mouse guards, how do we know whether there may be a mouse in our hive already, or not. Roo :rolleyes:

    Thanks for your thoughts, We decided to add some spare drawn frames and let them take it down from the wild comb on crown board. Heres hoping they get sorted fairly quickly.

    Hello there, I gave a five frame nuc to a couple starting beekeeping this august. They transferred to a national hive and filled remaining space with frames of foundation. I advised to feed and help draw out some more frames before end of season, giving instructions to place feeder on to crown...

    Hello People, I have put a test frame in to one of my colonys that I suspect is queenless. They have built about ten tiny sealed queencells. Does anybody know why they build these useless queencells? I assume they can be of no use?:confused: Thanks Roo
