    what would you do ???

A garden would be a reasonable place to claim to have "found" a cricket bat. I actually had this chat with a currently serving judge(soon to retire). I was assaulted, I beat up the four of them and kicked them around my drive till the police came for them(policing as my first trade). Whilst I...

Poly Hives - Do they NEED painting ?

Cheeky ! There 3 coats of sandtex Smooth on them. I just looked for a food box long enough to take a frame..I've got the link on my PC, but they're less dense slightly than say, Payne's nucs, which apparently isn't a problem for overwintering (in a mild winter), but they do require more care not...

They look like my 8 frame food box nucs. £6 each , or £8.50 with an entrance disc and mesh floor. I'm such a cheapskate !

I had to read it again before I believed you. Oops !

Repeat Oxalic vaporising - but with honey on the hive?

I think we need to check those LDA figures again since we excrete about 50grammes a day of the stuff from dietary intake.

Repeat Oxalic vaporising - but with honey on the hive?

So why did you start a thread trying to stop someone using it ?

Repeat Oxalic vaporising - but with honey on the hive?

No, you said there is no limit to the level in honey because oxalic is harmless.

Repeat Oxalic vaporising - but with honey on the hive?

Back on track for a second. Given that the LDA for oxalic is 15-25grammes (taking figures from this thread) Even the potential 9 grammes added by 3 treatments would not cause a problem unless someone ate 2 or 3 hives of honey and that the entire amount of oxalic acid ended up in the honey, which...

    Very Very Low Store's

Just out of interest, bow often do you open them to look. Last winter(very mild) I looked in on my poly nucs weekly(love a perspex crown board) and there were bees on all frames until Mid January, by the first week in Feb. They had broken cluster again. Stores were good going into and out of...

    Very Very Low Store's

I know I've said this before, but I just do t understand half of what you've written. I'm not having a go(this time), it just doesn't read in English. But I'll try. In countries where bees fly all year there is forage all year. If you mean Amm would fair better, your forgetting these bees...
