Live in Somerset. Use polyhives - Langstroth - but modify so frames run the short dimension so actually National short lug and 12/13 frames per brood box. About to try long hives this year - built one from poly boxes and one 14x 12 Drayton hive style. Timely article in Bee Craft this month.
